Daylight robbery transport

Honestly I dunno why the picture can't be rotated.

This is the train card also known as the Daylight Robbery Card. It's like any other public transport card where you can top up x amount of credit and deduct it every time you board the train. A trip to town for me cost almost AUD16.00 including return trip. In Lion City $16.00 is enough for me to go up and down the red line at least 10 times if I am crazy enough.

My uncle goes into a fit every time I ask him why public transport is so expensive and the train is crap. The waiting time during peak hours is around 5 minutes and it's somewhat punctual only. For someone used to 1 minute per train this is a bit hard to swallow.

However the AUD16 is for a day's worth of travel. I can use the train, tram, bus service throughout the day without further charge. Fantastic for tourist. Bad for me who goes to town for job interviews only. How many trains, buses and trams can I take for a job interview? It's suckier when job interview is over in 1 hour. Feels I don't use the public transport enough. Feels like I must board those trams for a trip or something.

On the plus side, weekend rates are very much cheaper, around AUD3.00 per round trip. Yup, don't make sense to me either and uncle also goes into a fit when I ask why rates so cheap on weekends.

I wonder if I can arrange job interviews on weekends?
